The Process Of Going Solar

1. Site Assessment

To get started, one of our Energy Consultants will visit you at home. They’ll take the time to answer your questions, as their top priority is making your experience going solar a smooth one! Our Energy Consultant will complete an assessment of your roof to develop an accurate and effective system based on your home to see immediate savings.

2. Enrollment

Once agreed and understood the installation plans Solar 101 USA will then proceed with the correct documentation for you to officially enroll with your solar program.

3. Permits

We have an experienced department focused solely on the permitting process, and acquiring the correct documentation from corresponding municipalities. Permitting completion is necessary prior to moving forward with your installation.

4. Installation

Once the necessary paperwork has been approved, we will contact you to schedule your installation. Our reputable team is highly-skilled in efficient and quick installation.

5. Final Inspection

After your installation is complete, we will arrange an inspection to ensure the system complies with local county requirements. We will inform you when this has been scheduled.

6. Power Meter Swap

Once the final inspection is complete, we will contact your utility company and arrange for them to swap the power meter to a Bi-directional meter. (Bi-directional metering provides two-way metering, enabling electricity to flow in either direction). This allows all your excess power to be transferred to the grid and remain stored until your home requires use of it.

7. Activation

The last step is the easiest-your utility company will grant us permission to operate, and we will be ready to flip your “solar switch” on and activate your system. All you have left to do is sit back and enjoy the benefits of your solar energy.
